Case study · Wine experiences · Argentina & Germany

From wasting to tasting.

Destinto runs premium wine-tasting experiences. Everyone who joins a tasting or buys one of their experiences takes a wine home in a REZET wine bag, made from textiles recovered from other companies.

01 · Challenge

A premium tasting deserves a goodbye to match.

A premium tasting deserves a closing gesture to match. Destinto needed something for clients to carry their wine home in: packaging that reflects the care behind the experience instead of ending up as one more disposable bag.

Destinto is an Argentine-German company that runs premium wine-tasting events and experiences.

02 · Strategy

Packaging with a story.

Instead of new material, the wine bags start from textiles other companies no longer needed. The material is recovered, redesigned and handed over as part of the experience itself.

01 · RECOVER

Recovered white banner

170 m² of white banner that another company no longer needed.

02 · REDESIGN

Wine Bag · White Banner

The banner is cut and sewn into a wine bag sized for a bottle of wine, made to be reused long after the tasting.

03 · REPORT

A story to share

Each wine bag carries more than a bottle: it carries where the material came from, a story clients can tell when they open or gift the wine.

03 · Process

Banners with a past. Wine bags with a future.

It is not about hiding the material or recycling it until it becomes unrecognisable. The material is the value. Recovered banner is cut in the workshop and redesigned around a new purpose without losing the story of where it came from.

04 · Evidence

Making Impact Traceable, Transparent & Verifiable.

170 m² recovered, transformed into 1,000 wine bags.

The figures in this case are checked and the record is managed by REZET Hub.

Recovered, not new

02

Quantified

170 m² of banner, 0.17 m² per wine bag.

03

Cut and sewn

The banner is cut into wine bag pieces in the workshop and sewn into the finished wine bag.

04

Handed over

Every tasting client takes their wine home in a wine bag.

Behind each of these figures there are families. The people who cut and sew in these workshops are not a line in our metrics: they are heads of family who have come through hard circumstances, and paid, skilled work is what lets them be the ones who provide.

05 · Outcome

One bag. A gift worth keeping.

“These bags are so much more than reusable packaging. They’re a way to show our clients that we care — about the experience we create, the choices we make, and the impact we leave behind. They bring the whole wine-tasting experience together, giving our customers something meaningful to take home, with a story they can share. Some clients have even purchased extra bags to gift their wines for birthdays. When a bag becomes part of the gift itself, you know it makes a difference.”

Why repurpose

If you are going to spend money, spend it well.

  • Be smart about where you put your budget. Instead of packaging that gets thrown away, invest in packaging with a true impact story.
  • And instead of taking the easy, often costly route of recycling by destroying the material, repurpose it. Preserve its value. Give it a second chance.
